A. God is three in one: the Holy Father, the Holy Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. God loves us and has compassion on us. He created heaven, earth, and everything else. He takes care of and controls everything.
B. Jesus is God’s only Son. He was born of a virgin and became a human. He was truly human but at the same time He was, still is and forever will be God. The Lord Jesus died on the cross for the sins of everyone and was raised from the dead on the third day. He then went back to heaven and sat on the right hand of God. Whoever believes and receives the Lord Jesus as Savior and Lord in his/her heart, will receive eternal life. When the time comes Jesus will come back to the earth a second time to receive His people. (Acts 2:24, Matthew 17:23)
C. The Holy Spirit is God. He works in human hearts to convict of sin and to enable people to be born again. He works in the hearts of all believers and blesses them and gives them spiritual gifts.
D. The Bible is God’s own Word. God led people to write all of the Scripture, for teaching, correcting, rebuking, and training them in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16).
E. Satan (one of the evil spirits) truly exists and has control in the world in the time that God allows. He (Satan) tries hard to destroy God’s plan and the faith of all believers and their lives. (1 Peter 5:8)
F. All people on earth are sinners and deserve punishment for their sins.
G. The only way people can be saved is to believe and accept the Lord Jesus into their hearts. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. (John 3:16, Romans 10:9, John 14:6)
H. The church is composed of all believers and is the body of Christ.
I. All members of the church must not neglect to meet together to worship.
J. At the last day every one will be raised again. Believers in Jesus will go to the place of eternal life (heaven), but those who have not believed will be raised to be judged for sin. (Mt. 25:31-46, Rev. 20:15; John 3:18; 5:28-29)
K. We believe that as Christians we seek to follow the teachings of the Bible. We must all endeavor to live pure, holy and godly lives. We especially affirm therefore that no one who is known to be a homosexual or sexual pervert or adulterer or fornicator or murderer or thief is to be elected to the board of MCMF nor to be chosen as an elder, deacon, or pastor of any of our member churches. Such individuals must also not be employed by MCMF nor any of our member churches. Those who have sinned against God in any of those ways or in other ways as described in the Bible but who have repented and turned from those practices to the satisfaction of the individual church of which they are members and/or MCMF may be elected to such leadership positions and/or may be employed by one our member churches or by MCMF. (Romans 1:26-27)
